COLLEGE OF NYÍREGYHÁZA

The COLLEGE OF NYÍREGYHÁZA (Photo Gallery) was established on 1 January 2000 by the merger of the two legal predecessor institutions: György Bessenyei Teacher Training College and the Agricultural College, Faculty of Gödöllő University.

The College has four faculties:

-       Faculty of Arts

-       Faculty of Engineering and Agriculture

-       Faculty of Economics and Social Science

-       Faculty of Science

In September 2003 the new building of the Student Information Centre was opened, housing the Rector’s Offices, Central Library, Student Registry and Financial Department. Within one year, “the opening ceremony tradition” continued and the Faculty of Engineering and Agriculture moved into its new premises. At the moment a new block is under construction – as a private investment – to provide extra residence for students.

College of Nyíregyháza has unique sports facilities among the Hungarian higher education institutions: a horse riding facility, a swimming pool, sauna, an athletic hall, sports fields and tracks, a gym – all in the neighbourhood of the Sóstó forest.
