BIOBEL09 Advisory System

Based on the test results of the BIOBEL09 application, the final purpose of the application was the creation of a new, providing and type-selector advisory system that is specific to the organic farming of the Northern Great Plains region, and carries out a development for an entirely new market segment. This advisory system provides the basis for  the farmers of the region (bio-breeders and conventional farmers as well) who need an optimized, conscious selection that fits  the needs of a healthy diet.

The  initial data of the advisory system  consist of the results of the plant species (varieties), chemical composition, in vitro physiological parameters, as well as the examined growing area of soil and their nutrition. The species are ranked based on the nutritional values and physiological results of the parameters ​​of the tested varieties. Then  methods  achieving  favourable or less favourable characteristics in different growing conditions are introduced,  depending on the existing soil conditions, microclimatic and hydrological conditions and the applied agro-technical procedures.
